News RoomSeptember 2023 - CCI Cake for Raspberry PiThe CCI Cake time-series historian database is now available for the Raspberry Pi platform. All of the CCI Cake components and integrated data science features run on the Raspberry Pi, providing customers with the most powerful IoT edge platform ever conceived. A tiny Raspberry Pi board running CCI Cake can even handle hundreds of simultaneously connected clients. Thus local clients have a nearby "edge data cache" providing identical functionality and superior performance to that of the cloud based server. August 2023 - Emerson Ovation graphics importCCI Cake can now directly import Emerson Ovation graphic displays. No special training is required. Just select File > Import > Graphics and set the file type to Emerson Ovation. Your selected Ovation graphic displays will then be available inside CCI Cake complete with live values. This allows customers with large investments in the Ovation control system to leverage their Ovation investment further by utilizing the unique Python based data science capabilities of CCI Cake. February 2023 - Honeywell TDC graphics importCCI Cake can now natively import Honeywell TDC 3000 graphic displays. October 2022 - Cake BatchThe CCI Cake 4.2 release includes new tools for batch processing. Cake Batch can automatically detect and record batch activity. Multiple batches can then be overlaid on the same trend or XY plot, allowing you to compare recent performance against a past ideal performance-- i.e. the "golden batch". May 2020 - Honeywell HMIWeb graphics importCCI Cake can now import Honeywell Experion PKS graphics natively inside the Cake GUI. The imported graphics look nearly identical to how they appear on the Experion Console Stations complete with with live values. This provides immense benefits for customers who have standardized on Experion control systems-- by making their control system displays broadly available throughout their organization and by eliminating the on going labor costs of manually maintaining a second set of graphics solely for the historian system. April 2020 - Microsoft Power BI connectorCCI Cake now includes a real-time interface to Microsoft Power BI. October 2018 - OPC UA ServerCCI is pleased to announce the availability of an OPC UA Server for CCI Cake. This is in addition to the OPC UA Client that is already included with the product. OPC UA is the new Internet and firewall friendly standard that replaces the classic OPC DA standard. August 2018 - Cake HACake HA (High Availability) is now available. Cake HA allows you to run your historian on multiple redundant servers with automatic failover. It is an entirely software based solution that requires no special hardware. If your server hardware fails the historian will continue to collect data and be available to clients without interruption. You can even upgrade both the historian software and server operating system without having to take the historian down. March 2017 - CCI Cake version 3CCI Toolbox has a new name: CCI Cake. And how sweet it is! New features in Cake version 3 include an Add-In for Microsoft Excel, an OPC HDA server, high speed ODBC and JDBC drivers, an asset model hierarchy, role based menus and security, and graphic templates. Advanced design and analysis techniques are presented in a lecture series that is interspersed with hands-on lab examples. The course is presented by experienced, practicing control engineers who present the control design and trouble-shooting techniques that they have developed through years of experience.
